The thrilling 3x3 tournament with 12 teams spanned two action-packed days. Many games went into overtime, keeping fans engaged. Both group stages ended in ties, requiring tiebreakers based on points scored.
The semifinals were action-packed, culminating in Team 2's 16-12 victory over Team 5 in the final, which ended an exciting tournament.

This milestone event formally inducted students into the healthcare profession. Esteemed guests, including Dr. Xu Xiao, Patron of IMSA; Mr. Wang Bin, Vice Dean of the OEC; Dr. Yang Xihu, Chief Dentist; and Dr. Jia Jue, Chief Endocrinologist, delivered inspiring speeches, emphasizing integrity, dedication, and compassion as essential qualities for a medical career.
The event's highlight was the ceremonial donning of white coats, symbolizing students' commitment to healthcare. Afterward, they recited the Hippocratic Oath, pledging to uphold ethical practices and prioritize patient welfare. IMSA also presented each student with gift hampers to celebrate this significant milestone.
The event concluded with a joyful photo session for MBBS, BDS, and Pharmacy students, marking the start of their professional journeys and showcasing the pride of the Jiangsu University community. IMSA thanks the distinguished guests, faculty, and organizers for their contributions. We wish the new students a rewarding journey in healthcare.
ALUMNI INSIGHTS Engineering Career Paths & Success Strategies

The event offered engineering students valuable career guidance from esteemed professors and alumni. Christian Mulbah, President of AIES, welcomed attendees, introduced the team, and reviewed past initiatives. Guest speakers—Prof. Muhammad Zareef, Prof. Hany ElMesiry, Dr. Sheikh Farhan Ashraf, and Dr. Jesse Nii Okai Amu-Darko—shared their professional journeys and expertise.
The primary segment included interactive networking rounds in four classrooms, where participants engaged in small-group discussions on time management, career development, research challenges, and engineering trends. Speakers rotated every 45 minutes, enabling students to connect with all experts.
The event ended in Room 1315 with a certificate presentation by AIES executives, followed by a group photo. AIES thanked all contributors, highlighting the event as transformative for attendees.
JSU Culture Talks Multilingual Space

The event commenced with a presentation by CART Deputy Director Mr. Armas Nande Shifotoka, who discussed China's agricultural journey and its global lessons, focusing on the state of agriculture before 1949 and four types of modernization: agriculture, industry, science, and technology.Participants learned about China's agricultural transformation since 1978, focusing on advancements like AI drones, precision farming, and smart irrigation for crop resilience. They also examined Africa's agricultural challenges, including low mechanization and climate change, despite its abundant land and water resources.
Following the presentation, students engaged in discussions that enabled Chinese students to practice English and allowed international students to learn about China's agricultural advancements. These interactions fostered mutual understanding and highlighted key lessons—like policy governance, technology investment, infrastructure development, research, and education—that Africa and the global community could learn from China.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Fathiya Said, Managing Director of the CART Association, who emphasized the importance of student engagement in such event. She thanked attendees for their participation and especially appreciated Mr. Wilson Liang for his guidance in organizing the event.

Zhenjiang, a hidden gem in China, recently hosted eager explorers for an unforgettable two-day tour, starting with a prompt departure from OEC.
The tour started with a delicious breakfast of Zhenjiang's signature noodles, highlighting the local cuisine. The group then explored Jiao Shan (焦山) for a few hours, admiring its natural beauty and cultural heritage.
The expedition moved to Beigu Shan (北固山) for stunning vistas and a vibrant local ambiance. After a refreshing lunch, the group visited the Beigu Shan (北固山) scenic area, mesmerized by its beauty. The final stop was Jin Shan (金山), showcasing a rich tapestry of history and scenic charm.
Participants were urged to manage their time wisely during the two-day tour, which provided an unforgettable experience and left them with cherished memories of the captivating city.

Proficient suturing techniques can significantly influence the outcome of a surgical procedure, distinguishing between successful interventions and those that may lead to complications. Under the mentorship of Prof. Chen, students had the opportunity to refine their suturing techniques during the session through constructive feedback and valuable insights.

AIES Debate Fossil Fuels vs. Renewables

Team Two, opposing the feasibility of a complete transition by 2050, won the debate. Their compelling arguments resonated with the audience and judge Dr. Sheikh Farhan Ashraf. The event concluded with a dynamic Q&A session, fostering discussions on the challenges and opportunities of global energy sustainability.

Navigating Academic Standards Understanding Institutional Requirements for Thesis Development

Dr. Sheikh Farhan Ashraf, a Postdoctoral Researcher at Jiangsu University, delivered the keynote lecture, offering insights into the academic frameworks governing thesis research. He emphasized the importance of aligning research objectives with institutional guidelines, maintaining strict ethical standards, and using effective time management strategies.
The event had three segments.
The introduction: which highlighted the importance of academic standards in thesis development.
Dr. Ashraf's keynote presentation which covered effective practices, including alignment with institutional standards and ethical considerations.
Lastly, interactive Q&A session encouraging participants to discuss, ask questions, and seek guidance on the thesis process.
