November 24th--Jingkou Branch of the Municipal Public Security Bureau was invited, by OEC, to hold a legal and safety awareness lecture for international students of JSU.

Instructors Yin Hang and Deputy Captain Li Mengchen from The Exit and Entry Administration Brigade of Jingkou Branch delivered this lecture. Wang Bin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch and Vice Dean of the college, representatives of OEC counselors, OECian representatives, and members of student associations, totaling more than 100 international student representatives, attended the lecture.

Detailed explanations based on relevant cases were given to students, focusing on topics such as exit and entry management, fraud prevention, employment of graduating international students in China, legal security, etc.. Lecturers also reminded OECians to notice the difference of laws and school regulations between China and their home countries. Handbooks on laws and regulations, as well as informational leaflets, were distributed by the officers followed by Q&As.

Legal awareness and self-protection capabilities could be of help in integrating OECians’ studies and life on campus and in China. It is a shared goal that students stay safe and sound during their study in China, thus continuous efforts were made by OEC and the police, to make legal and safety awareness lecture annually for international new comers.
