In order to celebrate the 113th International Women’s Day, Women's Association of Jiangsu University organized a red carpet show on March 8 where female staff and students showed their own style of celebrating the holiday. The event was graced by the JSU President Professor Yan Xiaohong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Li Hongbo, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission Gao Qingguo, OEC’s Dean Gao Jing, and other leaders.

The celebration began with a speech by the president. Prof. Yan sent the sincere holiday greetings and the utmost respect to all female compatriots on behalf of Jiangsu University. He said that in the journey of building Jiangsu University into a high-level, distinctive, and international research university, all female compatriots have contributed "her" wisdom and "her" strength. His speech was ended by wishing all the JSU female compatriots a happy holiday.

After the speech, twenty groups representing all kinds of women in the school stepped on the red carpet to show their elegant demeanor and took photos with the leaders.Ultimately, it was an educational but fun program aimed at helping women achieve the confidence they need to reach their full potential and reach great heights; hence, OECians showed their weighty appreciation to Jiangsu University for making this event a reality.
