In February, Jiangsu University announced the results of comprehensive assessment of the annual objectives and tasks of schools, offices and research institutes in the year of 2022. Of the nearly 100 units evaluated, about 30 have been rated First Class, among which Overseas Education College (OEC) made itself to the list.

In 2022, under the leadership of OEC CPC branch, OEC continued to promote the deep integration of the Party construction and business development, focusing on innovating high-quality development, and the entire faculty staff worked together to continue to empower JSU’s international students education. Under the efforts of OEC, JSU jointly built a Global Education and Training Center for Agricultural Modernization and Food Safety with the UNIDO. The number of international students pursuing degrees have been taking the Top One in Jiangsu Province’s universities, and the proportion of master and doctoral students exceeds 50%. OEC CPC branch was selected as the second batch of "model branch of the Party construction" cultivation and establishment unit. As the only invited university in China, JSU selected representatives of outstanding African students to participate in the special promotion meeting of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC to Africa organized by the International Department, Central Committee of CPC. 2022 "The Belt and Road" Forum for International Cooperation and Development on Agricultural Modernization was successfully held, and the agricultural machinery training program was selected into provincial level. Many news reports were published in the People's Daily, Guangming Daily and other national and provincial media, and excellent international employee and students were reported by Xinhua News Agency. Besides, OEC actively promoted the re-certification of the quality of higher education for international students in China, overcame tremendous difficulties and made good progress for the return of international students abroad. OEC successively won the provincial advanced group for international student education.
