The 2022 Forum for International Cooperation and Development on Agriculture Modernization, co-organized by Jiangsu University, Agribusiness Department of UNIDO, China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation (CAPIAC), China Institute of International Studies, Center for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization of ESCAP was held in Zhenjiang from November 18^th to19^th,2022.

Experts from relevant fields at home and abroad, guests of alliance universities and enterprises, representatives of JSU functional departments, faculties and students attended the opening ceremony of the forum. JSU President Yan Xiaohong hosted the opening ceremony of the forum.

Yuan Shouqi pointed out in his opening speech that technological innovation and green transformation are important driving forces for high-quality agricultural development, and international cooperation is a very important way to promote global food security. JSU has always been committed to promoting the "the Belt and Road" agricultural cooperation and agricultural foreign aid, participating in global governance around agricultural disciplines, and cultivating agricultural talents with global competence. He hoped that this forum could build a platform for all parties involved in government, industry, university to further strengthen exchanges and communication, and breed more cooperation projects with great potentials.

In order to promote the "the Belt and Road" industrial and agricultural integration technology transfer and human resource development, build international cooperation platform for agricultural modernization, and improve the quality of international education, JSU further strengthened cooperation with the UNIDO and other parties. Mr. Li Hongbo, Deputy Secretary of JSU Committee of the CPC hosted the project ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, the Inauguration of the Global Education and Training Center for Agricultural Modernization and Food Safety of UNIDO, as well as Consultant and Steering Advisory Board of the center, and the issuing of appointment letters to on-site members were presented. International Cooperation Alliance on Agricultural Equipment-Industry/University Research Demonstration Center for Agricultural Modernization for Central and Eastern European Countries was inaugurated. Award ceremony of Think-tank of International Cooperation Alliance on Agricultural Equipment was held. JSU and Donghua Automotive Industrial co-launched“Belt and Road” Development Fund. Certificates of “Perceiving China” Education Base for International Talents and Innovation Skill Development Base for International Talents were awarded to company representatives.

In the High Level Discussion, Carlos Watson, Dejene Tezera, Boris Pasalic, Ghulam Muhammad Ali, Jiang Xiheng, Zhao Yanshui, Sun Hongwu, Li Hong, Vice President of JSU and others shared their understanding of green development related to their own professional fields, and carried out in-depth exchanges around the challenges faced by global cooperation, solutions and possible opportunities. Mr. Zhao Yutao, Vice President of JSU, hosted the discussion.

During the forum, Committee Meeting of International Cooperation Alliance on Agricultural Equipment was held to deliberate the application and change of alliance members. Li Hong, Director-General of the alliance, summarized the annual work and proposed future development plans.

The job fair for International Talents, an affiliated program to 12th International Cultural Festival was also held. Hundreds of overseas students from the "the Belt and Road" countries had academic, cultural and other presentations, and participated in the job fair.
