Recently the final results of the ‘Learning In the Yangtze River Delta’ short-video competition were released and OECian Walter Munashe successfully won 3rd place. The competition is a series of activities for foreign students in the Yangtze River Delta, sponsored by the education departments (Education commissions) of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and undertaken by Zhejiang University of Technology, Zhejiang TV's Education, Science, Film and Television Channel, and The Foreign Student Education Management Branch of Zhejiang Institute of Higher Education.

The competition was officially launched in September 2021 and the theme of the competition was ‘Learning In The Yangtze River Delta’. The competition collected original short videos about the perspective of China's development from the viewpoint of foreign students in order to comprehensively demonstrate the beauty of China's mountains, rivers, humanities and development. The organizing committee received nearly 300 videos from college students and eventually only awarded 59 winning works which OECian Walter Munashe was amongst.

OECian Walter creatively made a video capturing his love for Zhenjiang (镇江 我爱你!) through an innovative, original and an artistic way which exhibited his student life and understanding of Chinese culture through his lenses. Walter’s exceptional accomplishments through his passion for media continue to be an exquisite example on how students can learn more about China and grow their personal skills through what they are passionate about.
