There are two ways for you to apply through, for the detailed information, please visit the CSC official website (http://www.csc.edu.cn/laihua/).

Ⅰ. To apply at the local Chinese embassy/consulate

Coverage: All bachelor, master and PhD programs provided by Jiangsu University

Deadline: Please contact the local Chinese embassy/consulate

Four Steps:

1. To get a CSC sponsorship letter (Check Attachment 1) from local Chinese embassy/consulate after candidate selection process organized by them.

2. To get an admission letter from Jiangsu University through on-line application system (http://admission.ujs.edu.cn).

3. To inform the embassy that you have been admitted by JU.

4. To register and finish the online application at the CSC online Application system, and send a hard copy of a completed application Form to the embassy.

※Make sure to type in the correct Agency Number, because different embassies/consulates have different agency number.

Ⅱ. To apply through Jiangsu University directly

Coverage: Master and Ph.D programs (Linguistic programs are not included)

Deadline: April 20th, 2015

Four Steps:

1. To apply through Jiangsu University Online Application System (http://admission.ujs.edu.cn).

2. To receive the admission letter after qualification selection from JU.

3. To register and finish the online application at the CSC online Application system;

4. To post all notarized hard copies to us(Applying for CSC scholarship only), including

A. CSC application forms;            B. Copy of passport (the photo page);

C. Copy of your final degree transcript; D. Copy of your final degree certificate;

E. English language proficiency certificate (non-English speaking countries);

F. Family financial statement;                  G. Research proposal;

H. 2 recommendation letters.

Ⅲ. More information

1. Chinese Government Scholarship is open to new students only, and the agency number of Jiangsu University is 10299.

2. If you are admitted here, but failed to achieve CSC scholarship, you still have chance to get other kinds of scholarships. For Ph.D candidate, JU president scholarship is a good choice.
